COLORFUL NAMES
Seventeen years ago when photographer Eduardo Fuss began exploring the Bisti Badlands he started naming the places he visited. At first the names were descriptions of places that became convenient "handles" when we talked about those places. Eventually the names were burned into our imaginations. Places like "Alice in Wonderland", "Henry Moore", "The Dali", and "The Cracked Eggs" make you feel like you are in a storybook world. In the "Henry Moore" there are even individual rocks named "the duck", "the lips" and so on, that look like they were made by the late sculptor. Some of the other places we've nicknamed in the Bisti Badlands are "The Hammer", "The Mars Area", and "The Saddle". See 14 new bisti pictures including snow in the Bisti.
